House Clearance
A large part of our work is the sale of House
Clearances, many of which are on behalf of local solicitors acting as
executors of estates. We believe the only way to ensure
effects are sold for a realistic market value is to offer them at public
auction and for this reason we do not buy House Clearances. Although
selling to a dealer may appear to be an easy, low risk option, you need
to remember that a dealer is in business to make a profit, so whatever
you are offered is unlikely to be any more than half the market value.
Although you will incur transport costs and commission when selling at
auction, you will at least be certain that you have received a fair
market price for the effects.
We offer various options to suit your
individual circumstances:
Full Clearance: The property will be fully
cleared by arrangement, saleable items delivered to auction and
non-saleable items disposed of. (You will pay for haulage, skip hire /
landfill costs and auction charges). Fully itemised sale report.
Part Clearance: We arrange packing and collection of saleable items only and
deliver to auction. You dispose of non-saleable items.(You will pay for
haulage and auction charges). Fully itemised sale report.
Sale Only: Save money on transport costs by
packing and delivering saleable items to the Salerooms yourself. (You
will pay for auction charges only) Fully itemised sale report.
If you are unsure whether you have anything of value
to be sold, we also offer a pre-sale appraisal and valuation service.
